Request account deletion

You can request account deletion by email if you cannot access the Android app. If you are signed in, the in-app deletion path below is usually faster.

Send your deletion request to alvinapps21@gmail.com or click the button below to open a prefilled email:

Email a deletion request

Please include the following so we can locate and delete your account quickly:

  • The account email address you used to sign in (typically your Google account email).
  • The approximate signup date (month and year is enough).
  • A clear confirmation that you want your account and associated learning data deleted.
Response time

We confirm deletion requests by email, typically within 48 business hours. If your request requires additional steps (for example, an active subscription must be canceled first), we will tell you exactly what to do and continue tracking the deletion request through to completion.

Delete from inside the app (optional, faster)

If you are still signed in and prefer to delete your account yourself, the account settings path is the fastest option:

  1. Open English Jan and sign in to the account you want to delete.
  2. Go to Profile.
  3. Open the Danger zone section.
  4. Tap Delete account.
  5. Type DELETE to confirm the request.

If the account settings option is not available to you for any reason, use the email request path in section 01. Both paths are equivalent.

What data is deleted

Deleted when account deletion succeeds

  • Profile data linked to the app account
  • Learning progress and mission state
  • Saved words and review history
  • Mistake notebook entries
  • Writing history stored in the app profile
  • App-linked sync records tied to that account

May be retained for a limited period

  • Billing and financial records required for legal, fraud-prevention, or accounting reasons
  • Security and abuse-prevention logs
  • Google Play purchase records retained by Google under Google's own policies

If you have an active subscription

You can submit a deletion request right now, even if you currently have an active or managed subscription. We will accept and track the request, but the account is only fully deleted after the subscription is canceled and access ends. We will tell you what to do at each step.

  • Cancel your active subscription in Google Play: open Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → select EnglishJan → Cancel.

Once the subscription has fully ended, we complete the deletion. You do not need to take any further action after canceling.

Partial data deletion

English Jan does not currently offer a separate public workflow for deleting only part of your account data without deleting the account itself.
